Day of Mourning Activities
SAFE Workers of Tomorrow is holding a Leaders' Walk on April 28th.
At 11:45 am on April 28th, everyone will gather at the Union Centre Main Floor Foyer, then walk down Braodway to the Legislative Building, distributing Tags to people on the street to raise public awareness of the vital importance of workplace safety and health.
The theme this year is 'Safety in the Four Directions'. In recognition of the prominence of indigenous culture in Manitoba, students from each of the four directions of the province will demonstrate a holistice understanding of workplace safety and helath, using the teachings of the medicine wheel.
The MFL is hosting a Day of Mourning Candlelight Service at 6:00 pm on April 28th at the Union Centre Auditorium (2nd floor, 275 Broadway, Winnipeg) For more information, contact Jean-Guy Bourgeois (953-2563) at the Manitoba Federation of Labour.
